  5. Yes. Fully agreed with Arnold, calories in, calories out. Although we may be able to do some tweaking here and there, such as activating hormonal responses, such as intermittent fasting, such as building more muscles to speed up the metabolism. The helicopter view is still just burning more calories than you consume.

  7. Only two people from memory said there is one exercise you don't need recovery for. It was Arnie (here) and Bruce Lee – The exercise is crunches. (It's not that hard if you get your sets and rest period right.) I do it in between a three km run, or 3,000 skips. A couple of months ago, I did 100 chin ups while making pancakes over 2 hours … I admit that was a first but it blew me away because I restarted chin ups only recently, and I wasn't even doing more than ten when I was exercising. I've been doing this lifestyle exercise now for nearly 55 years … we waste so much time during the day … I never joined a gym because my time is my own. Waste time going to and from another appointment when you can be multi tasking. During Covid I do a light weights workout when I'm on a phone conference. Fact is, people don't have the head space discipline, or they need to have someone watching them, or do exercise with others. Just do it – I've been saying that for a very long time.

  8. Why do people continue to say and post videos about targeting certain body areas to lose fat when it is scientifically impossible? Are people watching this just too stupid or hopeful? The only thing that crunches will do is tone your ab muscles, it doesn’t burn fat in your stomach.
